If it's the same meaning as HP's Infinity Display, HP Infinity screen comparison @ NotebookReview.

The soft-touch matte-black is hopefully the same as older IBM ThinkPads.

if you cant find a reasonable 2nd hand thinkbook? go check out hp's business referb range. I got a nc8430 cos i couldnt find a reasonably priced T60. Its got very similar build quality and I've loaded 7 on it. (vista drivers for the x1600 but it works nicely) only gets a gamer score of 2 for the gfx which i'm alittle dubious about.

And still no expresscard slot! At least I couldn't see anywhere for one in that preview video. Lenovo can go hang as far as I'm concerned, they simply do not make mid-range workstation laptops worth bothering about any more. They almost all have Intel graphics, too.

I understand what you're getting at, ThinkPads of the past no matter how big or small always had a PCMCIA slot; you would expect to find expresscard slot in all newer machines. The Edge class isn't aimed as a portable workstation, you may have more success looking at the T or W series.
