Nice looking power supply and liked the stuff he had to say, I haven't had my AX750 too long but if I get up close in fanless mode I can hear a bit of electrical noise so good to see that as well as fan noise be quiet are also looking at electrical noise. I also thought it was interesting to hear him mention the size of power supplies, I've always wondered why there isn't much of a drive to reduce the scale of PSUs in the same way we are seeing a lot more popularity of smaller form factors, in fact in many ways PSUs have got unnecessarily large over the years. With power consumption hopefully going down and more people looking at smaller form factors would be great to see PSUs following suit.

My case limits the size of a PSU to 180mm, the BQ Dark Pro 10 is 190mm in depth!

80 platinum and 19db at 90% is very impressive! I also love the fan directly to PSU connectors, nice touch.
I wonder if these will be made in 550-600W range too.

Yes, there is a 550W model available. It is under 14 dB(A) at full load! That's total PSU noise, not just the fan spec. And, just to be clear, the 850 Watt is under 13 dB(A) at 90% of load. Again, full PSU noise, not just fan spec as many other companies quote.

Part of the reason PSU's are the depth they are is that to have cable management, you basically have extra circuitry that adds depth for the connectors. Of course, as you go up in power you need bigger transformers, more transistors, etc, so that is why small form factor PSU's are smaller but also limited in power. You just need so many coil winds in a transformer to support 850 Watts, or whatever.

But, the Dark Power Pro 10 550W, 650W and 750W are all 180mm in depth. The 190mm depth starts with the 850W model.
