Looks like there's space for four drives behind the DVD bays; you're going to need long SATA cables.

It looks like a smaller, simplfied TYR PC-X1000, but, with a higher price tag. Windows must be expensive.

The article's been changed since I made that post - now says seven 3.5" bays which sounds more realistic.

would prefer it if they teamed up with Black Ice and the front was just a 560 rad lined with Lian Li's 140mm fans along with a Laing D5 pump and a reservoir

With the quote “…….perfect fit for your living room” I was expecting something smaller.

But looks like it could make a good watercooling case, pretty serious $$$s though, I could think of a few cheaper alternatives.

I was going to ask - what on earth goes in zone 1 that produces any heat? Just seems to be a dedicated cooling duct for your DVD drive :/

I'd assumed it was a top-mounted PSU at first glance… agreed that seems a bit odd.

I don't think the separate zone is so much for cooling the hard drives and dvd drives as it is for completely removing them from the zone that needs the most cooling. In a traditional case, the hard drives typically sit between the fans and the motherboard, blocking airflow, and the 5-1/4" drives completely fill a space that could otherwise hold a fan. Moving the drives to the top zone could allow for much better airflow in the bottom zone and also allows the depth of the case to be reduced so that the front intake fans are all that much closer to the components that need cooling.

That's my take on it, anyways. It's certainly better than my solution, which was to remove all drives completely from the inside of my case. :D

Absolute rubbish for the money and about £150 over priced

This is not a mid tower case. Its height makes it a full tower.

I think Lian Li have lost the plot somewhat with their prices. When you can buy a good quality mid case for less than £100 and a good full tower under £200, there is little point in cases over this price.

I have a Lian Li case now, its my first and last. The quality is very good, but not worth the premium I spent. Also Aluminium is not that good for a case. Its too light and thin.

The actual length of the PC-X900 is reported to be another 5mm, 305mm. But the upcoming Sapphire Toxic HD 5970 4GB is 310mm. :surprised:
