Fascinating stuff, but is there any reason the article doesn't mention the chipset feeding all of those features? ;)

Finally, the first black and red AMD board. If only Foxconn were here with their Quantum Force range. Now gotta wait for reviews with this board + Thuban vs the Rampage III + i7 920 as the price for those two should be roughly the same ignoring DDR3 costs.

I would like to hear some more about the 890FX chipset that does motherboard uses though.

Whilst pricing hasn't been confirmed, we expect that this new member of the ASUS ROG family will probably find its comfort zone in something on the higher-end of the scale.
Around £165, I've got one sat next to me right now.

Will be a day or two before I use it, I'm finishing off all my Benchmarks clock for clock with 790FX then I'll do a comparison clock for clock with this 890FX.

I wonder how many review sites will bother to show what people really want to know.

Chipset is the same as the Asus M4A89GTD-Pro USB3 that was reviewed on here not too long ago - albiet without the in-built graphics but supporting PCI-ex16 x 2 - unlike the x8 crossfire only on the 890GX.

I.e. it's the 890FX and not the 890GX :)

Highly subjective criteria are highly subjective.
