WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!
why must everything be fatal1ty or ‘i’ branded these days?
it's doing my nut in!!
I just love how it was “co-developed” by him. He is a talented bloke.
Why have the 700watt model featuring a single 12V rail? I thought it was better for sli etc for dual or quad rail?
should do a Clarkson branded one tbh, just call it “POWERRRRRRR!”
I never knew where the fatality brand came from but now i do. Is he actually any good? “gaming PSU” =fail and pay a price for things that wont be any better than a standard power supply, server/workstations need good PSU so its obvioulsy not going to have better components etc.

aye, jonathon pillocky wendle, he always gets hailed as the best gamer when corporations like the beeb do articles on gaming, there are much better people than him out there…

I was under the impression Weasely Wendel was the first ‘professional gamer’ or the first well-known one at least… and from what I've seen the answer to ‘is he actually any good?’ he might have been at one point… but not now.
as for all the tat with his face on it… it's usually madly overpriced and at best medicore…

If you speak to the real techy power guys, they will say that a single rail is almost always the best bet.
The reasoning is a lot like hard drive partitioning, you impose unnecessary limitations when splitting the power up to multiple rails.

He probably choose the colour and which of his logos would go on it :p
400W, a gaming power supply? Bit optimistic isn't it?

Not really. 400W will run pretty much anything based around a single GPU, including the very expensive offerings.
No mentioning of noise levels on the ocz site though.
I'm going to buy a
Fatal1ty-branded PSU
Fatal1ty-branded sound card
Fatal1ty-branded ram
Fatal1ty-branded headset
Fatal1ty-branded underwear

well done for finding May's first proper track drive for the show, where he takes the pee out of Clarkson who always says power :P (hence saying, “i'm not entirely sure what to do”……. “i think i know what to do at this point, POWERRRRRR”)
you failed :D

Nicely put.
well obviously theres a market and lets be honest hardware enthusiasts i.e us know the differnce but to the average joe it looks cool, must be good, and obv worth the extra couple of thousand for a complete wendel pc.
i spent extra on a GPU heatsink back in the x850xt days on a fatality HS, simply becuase it was black and lighted up :P

Now that I know him, to give him money isn't charity. He gives me some knowledge, I buy him some shoes

Not sure if a 9800GX2 counts as a single GPU here, and I don't know how much power the 4870X2 takes, but the 9800GX2 needs an 8-pin and a 6-pin connector. That makes a theoretical power draw of 150W+75W+75W (for PCI-e power). Add an “energy efficient” Q6600 CPU at 95W and all of a sudden you're over your 400W PSU at 80% efficiency without even factoring in RAM or hard drives.
So, still not convinced by the gamer's PSU title!
Btw, does anyone know how much power a HDD/ODD actually draws?
