This will probably be Corsair's worst selling product ever. Approximately 0 sales in the first few weeks after launch :laugh:

Quite..

I'm dread to think what the 520HX is going to go up to if the 450W is £75 though.

Any good reason why I should not save around £10 by buying the Seasonic M12ii-430 near-equivalent? :confused:

Made in the same factory I think.

No reason not to, but the Corsair one mentioned in this thread is a modular one. You could get a non modular one (Corsair still) £15~ less as it's the same sort like the Seasonic one (non modular). I don't know if it is of Seasonic or CWT origin though.

So is the Seasonic I linked, and with arguably a more useful set of connectors than the Corsairs

Seasonic M12ii-430W modular

* 1 x 4pin ATX 12V
* 6 x 4pin Molex
* 2 x 6pin PCI-E Power
* 1 x 8pin CPU +12V
* 2 x FDD Power
* 6 x SATA Power

Seasonic M12ii-500W modular

* 1 x 4pin ATX 12V
* 8 x 4pin Molex
* 1 x 6+2pin PCI-E Power
* 1 x 6pin PCI-E Power
* 1 x 8pin CPU +12V
* 2 x FDD Power
* 6 x SATA Power

Corsair HX520W modular has less SATA.

* 1 x 4+4pin CPU +12V
* 10 x 4pin Molex
* 2 x 6+2pin PCI-E Power
* 1 x 6pin Workstation
* 2 x FDD Power
* 4 x SATA Power

Whoops :embarrassed:

I didn't look hard enough and quickly assumed it was a non modular (not familiar with the Seasonic naming scheme :) )

I suppose then with that information presented out nicely (Nice one :P) it would make sense to go with the Seasonic *if* you needed those extra connectors, or go with the Corsair if you wanted the warranty (assuming you get it from Scan and the Seasonic doesn't have 5 year warranty also).

I see the the 450W HX is still the wrong side of £70 (everywhere, not just Scan). Do Corsair not want to sell these? Secondly, why is it a ‘pre-order’ when it's been available for months?

Lastly, two of its competitors are also out of stock - the Enermax MODU82+ 425W (which from old threads I can see was a keen price on Scan) and the Seasonic M12II-430.

Is this discrimination against 400W PSUs? :confused:
