If you're in the UK, local card sales are unlikely to be affected by mining.
The cost of electricity here lowers profitability massively. It's not like back in 2017/2018 where mid to lower high end cards were making a fiver a day, it's more in the pennies after power costs, and only on a couple of coins too.
I'm a crypto fan, but mining is going to have little affect on card availability. I'm still trying to get hold of a 6800 or a 3070 for my gaming media PC (a little treat for me and the missus).
