Netflix & Prime.
Posted by Myss_tree - Fri 24 Apr 2020 16:44
Currently Amazon Prime and Disney+.
Prime is not worth it for the streaming alone or is it worth the full retail price. I got it at a £20 discount. Unlikely to renew.
Disney is okay, got it at the pre launch discount rate. Unlikely to renew after a year unless it comes up with a lot more new stuff. Only watched the Mandolorian and some of the Marvel stuff on it.
Have subscribed to Now TV and Netflix and probably will again at some point as once you have watched what you want you can cancel as its rolling month.

Just netflix. Don't want to give my money to Amazon and they charge extra for a lot of stuff. Netflix has some excellent content.

Current Subscriptions: Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+

Disney mainly for The Mandalorian, but also checking out some some of the movies and spin-offs. I have this on the monthly rolling subscription, as I suspect there's only so much Disney stuff I can handle!

Netflix - but this is essentially free atm through SkyQ (adding netflix reduced my bill by £2 a month…)
Prime - included with amazon prime..which i use mostly for delivery rather than the streaming service
Disney+ - until I finish the mandalorian :)
Britbox - as it's free with EE at the moment
Youtube Premium - if this counts…but this includes play music too.

Out of all of them the only ones I am paying for directly are Disney+ and Youtube Premium - the others are all bundled or free, and i'll soon by down to just youtube (which is also the one i used the most these days!).

All worthwhile imo but if i had to pay for all of them, i'd only keep Netflix/Prime & Youtube.

Amazon Prime (like most others, just because I use the delivery anyway) and NowTV because I took a free trial, then cancelled, and eventually was offered 50p/month for a few months of the entertainment channels. Worth it to watch Westworld and a few other things right now.

Netflix and Prime…
;)
Posted by Phrontis - Fri 24 Apr 2020 18:54
Netflix, Prime and Spotify. Prime mainly for the post of Amazon packages. The Netflix and Spotify are my sons accounts and we are included in them. :-)) Might go for Disney depending upon SWMBO as I would like to see the Mandolarian. Used to have Now TV for Game of Thrones, but cancelled after that was finished. May start it again month to month if something comes on I want to watch.

Netflix only.. Like to try Disney next.
Posted by Iota - Fri 24 Apr 2020 19:41
Netflix, NOW TV (getting it really cheap…), Apple TV+ (free with Apple TV 4K for a year), Disney+, Amazon TV (comes with Prime which I have use for…).
Posted by LaMpiR - Fri 24 Apr 2020 20:06
Netflix, Amazon Prime. Tried Disney, but it's not that good.
Posted by Skyflier - Fri 24 Apr 2020 20:20
Netflix & Disney, very happy with both.

Amazon prime too, but will be cancelling it soon as there's hardly anything on it worth watching and the stuff that is worth watching has already been on Netflix or will be in a month or two's time.

Got a year of Apple TV in a deal a while back, but never watch it as it is hard to see what is included and whats just on the Store to buy/rent. Much like Amazon Prime to be honest.
Posted by ik9000 - Fri 24 Apr 2020 20:25
None. I subscribe to prime delivery and it gives me prime TV but I wouldn't choose to have it otherwise. And it gets more dross and less good stuff each time I look. Not helped by disney withdrawing so much content recently. They're not getting my custom though. Just like I've never taken cable/sky TV. Don't need, won't pay for it.
Posted by Friesiansam - Fri 24 Apr 2020 20:43
Have never paid for streaming but, we do have Britbox, the 1 month free trial and may go on to pay for it.
Posted by Percy1983 - Fri 24 Apr 2020 21:41
None, physical media more reliable, better quality and cheaper if your patient (like me).

Netflix and Amazon prime, unfortunately Disney+ is not yet available in my country.
Netflix was first and a must have, Amazon had really good offer = 2,99 Eur/month for 1st half year… and I get it mainly for Expanse and Man in the High Castle TV series, now also like Carnival Row. In my opinion original content quality will define future of streaming services. I see more High value actors coming in for AAA big budget TV series and movies, but also local content is valuable with its own special glamour…

Deezer, Netflix and Crunchyroll. Also FOX play but that's only because it's included with my Internet Service. And I've actually never used it.
Posted by chrism - Sat 25 Apr 2020 02:50
Just Netflix. Amazon seems a bit limited in terms of the amount of stuff available (that you don't have to pay extra for) whilst Disney's got some good stuff, but I wouldn't want to be restricted to family friendly fare. Currently watching The Midnight Gospel on Netflix and I can't imagine Disney experimenting and taking risks with animation in that way.
Posted by jimbouk - Sat 25 Apr 2020 06:58
Prime, though don't really watch much.

Netflix, though we don't pay for that one.

Crunchyroll ftw!

Awwrrrr landcraps, aye will not pay for such services. Me gold stays in me pockets and i'll use it for rum in tpb

we have netflix, amazon prime.
Posted by SUPERDUKE - Sat 25 Apr 2020 10:21
Netflix, Prime then sometimes I'll grab a 12 months subscription to Rakuten.

Prime has improved they have some good content what I don't like are the trailers between shows, they include rental and sales within the app without the option to hide them. I missed the usability of Netflix like simply skipping ahead scene by scene.

Disney+ I will not be bothering with. I'm not paying for half a movie because they decided to edit the scenes they think aren't suitable.

Amazon Prime video, Netflix, Disney +, and Qobuz for Hi-res music. I did try Amazon Music HD but honestly Qobuz is just so much better for sheer quality.
Posted by Friesiansam - Sat 25 Apr 2020 11:06
Just signed-up to music streaming service Tidal. Special spring offer, any tier of service, 120 days for £4.00.
Posted by Spreadie - Sat 25 Apr 2020 12:23
None. I got six months of Spotify premium with my new TV but I didn't renew it.

I haven't bothered with any video streaming services. I keep meaning to, but I'm not all that bothered. I think all those years of being gouged by Sky has put me off.

currently netflix (i use the most), nowtv (use rarely when it's about £1 a month on offer, and i have a few passes stored up that cost hardly anything), mubi (not used it but it was a 3 month trial for £1), i usually have spotify as that's another that you can get 3 months for £1 or so with deals/trials, likewise tidal has up to 6 months free or next to nothing on deals but there's nothing much that's not on spotify that i'm after, so tend to stick to spotify. from time to time i'll get prime if it's on a deal or it's prime day or xmas as the fast shipping is the added bonus. basically for a quid or two you can get trials of most services for 1-3 months and do that almost endlessly with some of them. haven't tried britbox yet, i think it's built into one of my tv's but not on firestick or sheild. there's that much stuff to watch, i'm only catching up on stuff now as i can stick stuff on whilst i work from home, so at some point if this goes on, i'll get round to disney and apple. on i use iplayer too which has a few decent things on it. saw half a dozen boxsets in the last couple of weeks, i think things that weren't broadcast but just on iplayer. i'm literally watching streaming stuff from about 6am to 6pm to catch up on boxsets then i'll watch a movie, so there's one self contained story i can take in from start to end and concentrate on, instead of sleep watching through 12 episodes of a show in a day

None, not unless some actual stability exist… then still none.. not untill all shows are global so none… am not going to pay for a service where I can not get the full packet.

Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, Now TV (Sky Sports, Entertainment and Sky Cinema), iTunes. The music and the Sky Sports on Now TV is for myself, the rest is for my two daughters and my grandchildren.

Disney+ using my phone credit on google play, which otherwise just builds up so it's fantastic that Disney+ allows you to use your phone credit in Ireland to subscribe.

Netflix is way too expensive so gave it up a while back, it's awful quality stuff on it.

Amazon Prime is utter rubbish but I subscribe for the free Amazon postage anyway.

Use my own Plex server though mostly for movies, TV and now music with their new Plex music app.

Amazon Prime (We use Prime Now quite often for household stuff and groceries so decent value for us)
Netflix
Disney+
Now TV (Movies & Entertainment)

Once the lockdown is done will probably drop the Movies on Now

Nothing at all right now, although I would like to watch The Witcher series and Picard series at some point… it all depends on whether or not I can last until they eventually appears on freeview.
Posted by ozzell - Sun 26 Apr 2020 20:02
Prime because with the delivery, the music and the TV it's actually pretty good value. Now TV because it's much cheaper than a sky sub for the same content. Netflix because while expensive for what it is, the content is not bad. Disney because I have kids… Still paying less than I did for Sky and getting everything I used in that and more
Posted by neonplanet40 - Mon 27 Apr 2020 09:55
Netflix - I pay for it
Spotify - Free with Vodafone (was meant to end last month when my contract ended but is still working in premium for some unknown reason)
Tidal - On a cheap 6 Month sub with the full Master (high bitrate) tracks. I think I will subscribe to it as I like the sound quality.
I had prime for a month to catch up on The Expanse - but over, not work it for me as not enough on it.

More than happy paying for Netflix. It has so many good shows and movies. Easily worth the money.
Posted by cheesemp - Mon 27 Apr 2020 11:34
Amazon Prime (although that's almost a bonus on the delivery)
Disney+ for the kids (3 and nearly 6).
Also get netflix via my brothers account but we rarely use it.

Watch as much terrestrial (Via iplayer/itv hub) as ‘streaming’ only services.

Netflix, plus I temporarily have Prime, as I have just taken up 60 days of free trial (for the delivery options). I wouldn't pay for Prime as a streaming service and the last time I had it on trial I don't think I watched anything on it at all. This time around I hope to watch Picard if I get time.

I don't have any other kind of TV service, so I'm 100% Netflix normally (and have been for over 5 years). I watch at most one TV episode per day or the occasional film, so there's more than enough content.

None.

Did subscribe to Prime for a month to see The Expanse and will again to pick up the new season.

Many series too dramatic for me these days, including this CORVID-19 one, that seems to be all channels

(Don't even have ADSL/landline until the BT engineers kindly replace the cabinet wires they seem to have removed, whilst installing a new cable to an adjoining village. I'm using our text level mobile signal here! Thank goodness for the mobile WiFi Hot Spot. First time I've used it.)

Virgin been up and do last day or so. Even interrupted Villanelle mid murder…

Slightly off topic but not - iplayer seems to be struggling the most out of the streaming services we watch despite offering (subjectively) the worst picture quality. As iplayer would be a major revenue stream if the proposed changes to BBC funding go ahead it shows that streaming is not quite ready for mass consumption in my eyes, though the bandwidth constraints would be different post covid-19

Picard is a good watch though a bit slow for me. Killing Eve however is excellent, and enjoying Shakespeare and Hathaway (quite fancy Jo Joyner) as a light hearted romp…

Netflix, amazon prime, Disney+ and Now TV.

Probably just use netflix the most. Amazon was from when I had a student account and it just carried over.. mainly use for the next day delivery  got now TV included with internet package and rarely use it tbh was mainly just in use when game of thrones was on.. Disney + has been alright also but not watched much on it yet apart from the mandalorian.
