….have a small heart-attack at the insane price, and storm off to investigate further, before returning when you discover that was just the usual HEXUS article typo!!

So why's it gaming-only? Why won't it work for normal daily compootermabobbery?
Still seems overpriced and isn't good for any monitors outside of their rather limited scope, but certainly a good concept and hopefully the first of several much better forthcoming products along similar lines.

I would imagine that gaming would have things moving all the time on the screen so you'd not see the bend in the image, if you had a huge excel sheet on it, I suspect it'd look a bit, well, crap..

Still seems overpriced and isn't good for any monitors outside of their rather limited scope, but certainly a good concept and hopefully the first of several much better forthcoming products along similar lines.

Given that it effectively stretches the image from the edge of each monitor towards the bezel area (likely using some sort of Fresnel lens) I would imagine it would make text and other sharp details blurry and a bit distorted, which isn't normally what you want for day-to-day computing.

Yeah but then you have to buy it on Aliexpress.

Not that it matters because 99% of us won't need to buy it anywhere.

Look at that still. There's a building nicely placed which seems to align with the outline of the lens. Look at the bottom of the image at the same spot where a leg is and it looks pretty terrible.

This is crying out for some software to change how the GPU renders the outer pixels, so they cover a wider field of view (meaning after getting stretched by the lens they look the same as the rest of the screen, just with a lower horizontal resolution)

I've found good deals on there before and I trust them far more than the likes of Banggood or FastTech. The dodgier sellers are also quite a bit more obvious than even those on eBay.

I'm not a fan of these kinds of marketplaces, have never liked eBay let alone the rest. Took me a long time to trust Amazon despite its size, prevalence and so on, and even now I try to insist on Amazon fulfilled orders..
Just prefer avoiding the chance of being ripped off rather than have the experience to deal with it. Get me a direct distributor or retailer any day. Poorly translated Chinese no-name products get me gritting my teeth.

Well, as far as Ali goes - There are several manufacturers who sell on Amazon, but are able to offer their full catalogue on Ali and are cheaper as they're selling direct to me. That's whay I prefer Ali wherever I can, and avoid paying the Amazon tax.
I also find their ratings far more reliable, as you get them from all around the world rather than just the English ones. Makes it easier to sort the good ones from those you'd rather not take the chance on.

For me, Amazon-fulfilled comes with warning bells about their warehouses and the poorly treated staff, as well as all the other dodgy big corporate stuff they're usually tied up in.
To each their own, though.
