Maybe one day we'll get affordable mid-range cards.
Maybe when there's a 3080 Ti Super.
Maybe when they fall in price to be more reasonable
Sicking with my 1080ti at the moment. RTX cards are way too overpriced.
Welp…With my GTX 1070 being dead for 2 months now, I am looking at that RTX 2060 Super really closely even though it is quite expensive. But Maybe the gods of computer hardware will grant me a certain Hexus giveaway prize…*wink* *wink*
Maybe tempted by the 2060 super if around the £300 price (probably Black Friday). I'll see how the RX 5700 performs first though.
Only if I win the latest competition.
Nah. On 2070 at mo and it was too expensive.
I'm going to shock everyone that knows me and say ….

…… no, I'm not tempted.
Okay, I mighta fibbed a tad about the “shock” bit.
I just don't have a need for anything requiring nearly £400, or more, on a graphics card. It dowsn't really matter how powerful the card is. If they had 10x, 50x, 100x the power these do, I'm still not paying anything like that much.
A decent card at about half that, on the other hand …. well, give me a nudge and aake me up.
Not interested. Even a 2080 super would not tempt me from my 1080ti and the 2080ti is still a joke price wise. I'll probably skip this entire generation (like a lot of folks I suspect) and see what turns on next gen.
Short answer, no. The RTX series cards are priced way too high, even more so now with the introduction of new “Super” cards. Having recently refreshed my main home/gaming PC, they are way out of my budget. I certainly think Nvidia have shook up the market, but unfortunately not in a good way for us “budget” gamers/enthusiasts.
I'd be interest to see how many of those RTX cards that Nvidia have actually shifted up until till now, and compare those figures with Nvidia's own expectations.
I care only for a good performance/price/power consumption ratio. The thing I'm really tempted is to buy a Navi card only to give the middle finger to nVidia for teasing us with those prices just because they can.
Not yet, only bought my 2080 last year and thats still performing very well, so no need just yet.
Waiting for the next release, probablhy around this time next year.
Very. It's either 2060 Super or 5700, whichever is better value for money. Let the reviews come!
Nope - My 1080 Ti should last a good while yet.
No, I paid £340 for a GTX 1070 and £608 for a GTX 1080ti. The price hikes for this generation need to be snubbed.
No, I have no requirement for one.
It would be nice to upgrade form my 970, but they do cost a lot so current thoughts are to hold off. It may be better than what happened since the mining craze, but that's the minimum I expect. Them promoting raytracing with reduced performance gives more reason to hold off until something better. If one of my monitors end up dying, then perhaps that would give me reason to upgrade resolution, max framerate and hence a new graphics card.
Yes and no would be my answer.
If I was in the market to buy a new gpu now or needed to replace an existing one then for me I'd have to pick nvidia (cuda..) so the logical option is look at the ‘best I can get for my budget’ from nvidia which would likely be around the 2060 super, maybe a 2070 super. Mind you I also think they're overpriced due to Nvidia price gouging because of a lack of competition.
Am I in the market for a new gpu, thankfully my current gpu's are fine (touch wood) so I have no reason to look at a gpu that is in realistic terms only slightly better than what I have now.
Now if it was the next generation of rtx then I might be thinking a little differently but it all depends on how much it actually improves etc.

In answer to the original Hexus question: No, I'm not even considering an nVidia Something-Something Super card. Very happy with my GTX 1080, thank you very much. Which I coincidentally only have because of a good deal.
At those prices absolutely not.
My 1060 6gb is just about enough for me at the moment, but had they introduced the 2060 Super at the non-super 2060 price, and the non-super 2060 had dropped in price to that of the 1660ti, then I would have been alot more interested in the non-super 2060. I don't really see the point in spending over £300 for a graphics card though, unless you game at 4K and have money to burn.
Nope, especially as AMD conned Nvidia. I wondered why they'd release pricing for parts they'd not actually released performance data on. All you have is the price and some vague technical details and a name.
Then they let Nvidia come out with this and promptly dropped the price and sent out a tweet about how they did a bait and switch on Nvidia. So now, everyone is holding off on buying the new Nvidia cards as those AMD cards are now cheaper and we don't know the performance yet.
Beautiful move.
Remember all motion in space is relative and that goes for GPUs as well. They're only good or bad relative to their price and the competition.
Not at all tempted. I'm running a GTX980Ti on an i7-3770k and that's probably overkill for 1080p.
I'll consider upgrading in another generation or two, once I've upgraded my CPU/mobo
Yes in a few years time… Just received a GTX1660 from Scan today, so sorted for a while I hope.
Original 2060s on scan start at £300 and 2070s at £435, so these new cards are 10-20% quicker for, uh, 10-20% more money?
Too ‘Super’ expensive for me, my RX580 is still doing everything I want.
No, not at these prices. High end pricing for a mid-range card doesn't make me want to buy one. If AMD drops the price as reported, then Nvidia follows suit, that would be a move in the right direction but still I'd probably pass.
Might upgrade my GTX1070 for a 2070Super
No I'm happy with the 2080, and I think with it costing so much I am going to let it run a bit longer than I usually do, 1440p @ 60fps should keep it ticking over for some time yet, I may even wait until it falls below the mainstream mid range components this time and then get whatever comes after the 30XX series.
I'll wait until next year for the updated ray tracing cards from AMD
I wouldn't consider buying ANY CPU or GPU at the minute, not until Ryzen 3 and Navi are released. They may be faster, they may be cheaper, they may be both (or neither.) But until you know what the whole market is why choose?
If nothing else they may cause other options to drop in price.
Is that a little bit more performance for a little bit more cash i see there?
Up and up and up with the pricing. Ridiculous.
So glad i got my Sapphire vega56 for £278. I'm sitting this and Navi out this round?
Roll on Arcturus!
still rocking 980ti see no reason to swap
Nope,It needs to say 7nm 3080TI before I will get excited.
My Asus ROG Strix 2080TI isn't that old!
I plan to buy a graphic card in coming months, so unless i get super cheep secondhand 1080ti then I will buy 2080S/2080/2070S/5700XT.
I will justify my purchase based on reviews as I need something for smooth 4k@60 but it doesn't have to go on ultra settings.
Those prices are so damn high that I plan to buy console next (or 2). And the funny thing is - it still maybe cheaper than single GPU.
No, they are all out of the price range I am prepared to spend on a GPU.
Would help if Nvidia had workable open source Linux drivers as well, given that is where I spend most of my time.
I did buy an upgrade for my son's PC recently though, £145 for an RX 570 8GB card including two games seemed quite a bargain. I'm taking a punt there that lower end Navi cards in that price range won't be out for some months, but given the money involved I won't be too gutted if I'm wrong.
I may swap my 980Ti out for a 2080 Super … all depends on price … 2080Ti is too rich for my blood, I only game @ 1080p .
I'm in a rock and a hard place - I'm doing a fresh build and my options are a Vega 56 (which is EOL and prices are rising), hope that 5700 series are good or my hand is forced to go RTX Super even though pricing and Ray Tracing isn't appealing.
Nope my Vega 64 copes with everything I throw at it ith ease ATM.
I'm planning on a 5700xt for next pc build. I might give it a month or 2 before making the leap to see if prices come down a bit more.
Nope. Already have a 2080. The new cards don't really have the performance over the old cards with these prices.

A little bit. :)
I am not tempted at these prices. I do have regrets that I should of got a 1080ti for $839 when it was new. I decided to get a 1070 instead to save money and pay for the tax that would of went into the price of a 1080/1080ti. I am tempted by the 5700 series as a replacement for my 1070 if the card ever goes to hell.
Will stick with my current card for at least 2 years, plus the current price and performance in Ray Tracing needs to improve before I think about it. Will also see how AMD handle RT moving forward too.
When my 1080Ti kicks the bucket i'll go for the best bang for the buck. Until then neither
Only way I might buy one is an used one in a few years. So far had great experience with buying pretty much all of my parts used, and saved a lot of money compared to if I was to get them brand new.
Definitely not, more interested in ampere which will be on 7nm. Could see a significant performance boost there.

Dammit. Rumbled. :D
Though actually, it was sincere.

P.S. Note to self - work on sincerity.
No. My GTX 1080 Ti kicks butt still and zero interest in giving it up yet. Not to mention that I bought my 1080 Ti for less than a RTX 2080 costs, WHEN IT WAS BRAND NEW! As in, I bought the Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080Ti the day it hit the market and only spent 720 bucks, AFTER tax. Of course, within a week of my purchase, the price on my card shot up to 2000+ dollars and I still kept it anyway. I'll be damned if I give it up now that it's really hitting it's stride.
GTX 1080 Ti until “RTX 3080 Ti” if that ever happens. No interest in Turing generation.
No, I'm not interested in the slightest: I already have a RTX 2080 Ti. :)
Way too bloody pricey. I bought a GTX970 for around £230 four years ago…now to get its modern day equivalent I need to fork out over £500??? Inflation isn't that high?!?
I just pre-ordered a 2070 super a week ago, £560. I too paid under £300 for an aftermarket 970 years back and I just had a sudden wave of buyers remorse so I cancelled the order. The price has now gone up even further to £580! What on Earth is going on with gpu prices these days!? I just want another half decent card but I can not bare to throw such an extreme amount of money at it. Hope my 970 holds out I guess.
