PSone, 2 PS2's, Xbox, Dreamcast, Xbox 360, PS4……. and a kick ass PC which is all I play games on now when time permits
Master System, NES, SNES, N64, PS2, PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbox 360. The PS3, PS4 & Xbox 360 are hooked-up at the moment.
Looking to buy an original playstation to replace the one my sister decided to sell and possibly looking at a Retron 5. Also looking to buy an older TV as apparently the zappers don't work on modern screens.
Xbox 360.
I do from time to time consider a new box, probably PS-whatever, but every time I think about it it seems to raise more questions than answers about the best choice and I give up, not being able to raise the enthusiasm to bother getting to the bottom of it.
Current gen - Switch and as of Wednesday a Xbox One S. PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Dreamcast, SNES, DS, GBA in storage…
Just a Wii that the kids use.
A PC and a Steam Link under the TV cover me for everything else.
3 x Gameboy sp (no current use), Gamecube (no current use), n64 (no current use),origional xbox. dreamcast(no current use), Megadrive(no current use), 2 x ds lite(no current use), psp(no current use), ps vita (play alot of puzzle games), ps3 (used for blueray playback), wii (used for gamecube titles and wiiware) and nintendo switch (most active console). Mainly emulate on pc if i want to play one of the console exclusive games
3DO, PS2, PS3, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X.
The PS4 Pro is used daily, the Xbox One X a few times a month as is the PS3. The PS2 isn't used that often.
All except the 3DO are hooked up and in use.
Also got 2 PSP's that aren't being used.
Erm we do have one but I don't know what it is though!
Haven't got one, haven't owned one since the PlayStation 2 (always sold my old consoles to fund the new ones).
SEGA Megadrive (with MegaCD & Powerbase Converter for Master System stuff)
SEGA Saturn
SEGA Dreamcast
Original XBox (Crystal & Black models)
N64
Nintendo 3DS XL
Nintendo Gamecube
Nintendo WiiU
SNES Classic Mini
PS1, 2 (original & slim), 3 (Slim) & 4 Pro
Sinclair ZX Vega (original model not the abomination with the screen, it is more a console than computer)
I have 2 N64, one PAL machine and one JPN NTSC. With the NTSC machine I opened it up and took out the notches in the cartridge port so it now runs any NTSC (NA/JPN) which comes in handy. I managed to get hold of Conkers Bad Fur Day and also the Blockbuster exclusive Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine (released at end of N64 life and even though ready for release never landed in PAL regions), these are repro carts which most cases are the NA NTSC hence having the 2 machines, there is no way I could afford either of those 2 games!
Also have a decent selection of the old 8 & 16 Bit Computers
Saturn, Dreamcast, PS3, Xbox, DS, Switch. Only the Switch and PS3 get any use these days so I'm going to have to start selling some of the older stuff as it just takes up too much space (those Saturn/Dreamcast twinsticks aren't small).
Never had a console sorry:
Commodore 16
Commodore 128
Amiga 500
486 pc
something I can't recall
Pentium 4
Core duo
i7
GameBoy
Amstrad GX4000
Nintendo 64
Nintendo Gamecube
XBox 360 E model
PS4
NES Classic Mini
SNES Classic Mini
The irony is I used my Amiga 600 more than any of them I think.
My first console was a Sega Master System (If you discount the old C64 as a PC) and then I've owned pretty much every Nintendo, Sega, Sony and Microsoft box since, even the handhelds, the majority of which are in storage.
I get some use out of the PS4 when a decent console or Sony exclusive comes out but I mostly game on PC (gotta get use out of this 2080 afterall!).
I have a original Playstation, original Xbox and a 250Gb PS3 Slim. The original Playstation got the most use out of the three by a big margin but haven't played on it for many years now. The Xbox got quite a bit of use but again, I haven't played it for years. The PS3 only has around 30 hours use. I bought it mainly for GT5 but was so disappointed with the game being nowhere as good as the originals on the 1st Playstation I lost interest in it. I tried a few other games but to be honest couldn't get into them. The controllers don't help either as they are too small for my hands and make my hands hurt. I tried a couple of third party controllers which were slightly larger but the damage was done and I never really got into the whole modern console thing. All three are sitting in their boxes in a cupboard. At the end of the day the perfect gaming machine for me is a pc with mouse and keyboard control for most games, a stick with throttles for flight sims and a wheel and pedals for driving sims.
Currently own: Xbox 360, Xbox one, Xbox one x, gaming PC
Have owned: master system, gameboy, PS2, Xbox
Don't have much time to game anymore though, probably for the best!
Never had one, never wanted one.
I lost all of my old consoles in a divorce, so all I have now is an Xbox One. I use it daily for streaming, and play games occasionally. I mostly play MMOs on my PC. I play RPGs and action games on the console.
Switch and PS4. No reason to keep my old consoles when emulation exists
I've never owned a console, but I've played on friends ones at various points, with those including: SNES, Megadrive, PS1, PS3, PS4 and Wii. Out of those I think I spent the most time with the PS1, since I borrowed it for a couple of months on two separate occasions in the late 90's and early 2000's. I should add that I have been playing PC games for many years, and still play lots of PC games currently.
Vectrex, PS3 and Nintendo Wii.
Couple of earlier Nintendo's but they're gone now.
Don't horde these things. So I have an Xbox One S and an Xbox One X.
And a kick ass gaming rig. Of course
The switch is the only one still in regular use.
Have still hooked up / available: PS3, 360, PS Vita
In storage: far too many Nintendo portables, PS2, Megadrive, PSP, Gamegear.
But really my gaming is all PC plus a bit of the Nintendo switch when travelling/in bed.
I got the 360 and PS3 super cheap after the current gen consoles released for the few exclusive games not on the PC. I'll probably do the same with the XB1/PS4 whenever the next gen of consoles releases.
Jumped to PC after the Sega Master System. I have played a few console games via emulators which tend to give a better experience than the consoles, e.g. Breath of the Wild.
My switch is gathering dust, my previous xbox 360 practically got no use and have mainly played with either PC or nintendo handsets. Also have ps1, ps2, psp (which also wasn't used too much), gameboy colour, gameboy advance, DS and 3DS XL.
I have a good pc and don't need anything else.
I used to have an Xbox 360 but, could not get on with the controller, too small for my big hands and long digits, so sold it after a long time gathering dust. Got a good PC now and will not be considering a console again.
Xbox One - Constant use
PS4 - intermittent use, mainly for VR
Switch - when something interests me - Xenoblade Chronicles got hammered.
Vita - Rare
DS3 - Rare
ps3 - never
xbox 360 - in bits
xbox one atm does everything I need, plenty of games and all the TV apps I use.
Xbox 360 which these days only gets used to play dvds
None.
Only ever had a ps1 and ps2.
Ps2 & Xbox360 somewhere; not sure the work. thoroughly disintetested in latest releases & last nintendo was an nes…
Nah.
Commodore 64
Later an external drive on my company laptop
and home assembled P/C's since then….
PS3, PS2, PSP, DS, Wii & a Supa PC….
Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, and I still have my Original Xbox here (but not being used at the moment).
Handheld wise, I have a DS and a 3DS.
Currently:
Snes Mini
Nes Mini
PS3 (plays PS2 games)
PS4
Dreamcast Sony PSP
Previously:
NES
Gameboy
Playstation
Playstation 2
Sega Megadrive
Atari 2600
Commodore 64 and a Sega + 32X addon. Don't have the heart to throw the sega away. I still have some of the old games for it also. Doom. Ecco, Road Rash, Jurassic Park.
Xbox 360 and a sony psp, both of which need the cobwebs blown off them.
Megadrive, SNES, N64, XBOX, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast. Gameboy, Gameboy Color
Still have (and use!) NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, WiiU, Gameboy, GBA, DS Lite, 3DS (3 different versions), Megadrive, Saturn, Dreamcast, PAL TurboGrafx-16, NeoGeo Pocket Color, Lynx, Lynx2, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X. And if you want to include them, 2 Nvidia Shield TVs with emulation station and a couple of Retropie set ups.
I've been eyeing the Analogue Megadrive console recently and the HDMI mod for the Dreamcast looks interesting. All the consoles were contemporary purchases, rather than retro inspired, aside from the TG-16 which I bought new after the event- Amazon “found” a pallet of them in a warehouse and sold them during the PS3 era.
Nintendo Switch and a PS3 that we're selling. Both gather dust whilst the PCs are used daily.
We have a PS4 in the bedroom for iPlayer and Netflix etc. Then we have a PS4 Pro in the living room for gaming and SkyGo. Lastly we have an Xbox One S in the living room solely for UHD Blu Rays; it's never even seen a game, the poor thing.
PS4 pro with VR, Switch (never used since new) and a PC for gaming. retro pi sitting in its box waiting to be built up then all consoles in one.
Currently carrying my Gameboy Advance SP with the brighter screen.
Have a spare one at home, along with a DS Lite and an old Gameboy Pocket. I've previously had a NES.
Never been much of a consoleer. Gamed on Spectrum and a few Pentium 386/486 sort of things, before hopping in on a PC.
Got quite a few. Got a PS2, PS3*, PS4*, PSP and PSVita*, Xbox 360, Xbox One S* x2, DS, 3DS XL x2, N3DS XL, Wii, WiiU, Switch*. Dreamcast. All the ones with stars are out and ready to use.
Xbox One X, Xbox 360, my orginal xbox is laying around somewhere and a Wii/PS2 laying about!
Also have a 3DS which I don't get out as often as I should
Unlike a lot of people here, I have only ever owned one gaming console - some here have multiples and left me drooling. :-)
The only one I have ever owned is Pong - I have been a financially challenged disabled pensioner for several decades, and I must be miserly as my meager money has other priorities (even this PC I am using is a hand-me-down 4th gen i3 NUC).
I still have Pong somewhere in a box stored away (found it about 10 or 15 years ago when looking for something else)
For those out there who don't know Atari's Pong, it was one of the first gaming consoles (the arcade game came out in 1972 and a home version was released in 1975 but beaten to the market by the even more extremely basic Magnavox Odyssey with only 3 dots and no sound) and you played a game like Ping Pong (or table tennis) with bats, a moving “ball” and a central line for the net and basic sound - nothing fancy at all.
Amazingly very popular with over 10 million consoles sold.
We used to have all the neighbours join in tournaments and during school holidays, they sometimes ran for a week or so.
PS - just realised that I still had my old PC listed (just fixed it), it went missing with a pile of other things well over a year ago. I like to think that it morphed into a Deceptacon and walked out the door with the other missing things, but in the real world, we were more likely burgled. :-(

Even the recent DS models can be found on eBay for about a tenner. Second hand market is where all the nostalgic goodness is at!
None.
The last games console I owned was an Atari 2600.
I have PCs and don't need anything else.
I have quite a few, ps2 “Japanese with original boot disk”, Japanese Gamecube, american snes, snes mini, megadrive, sega saturn, xbox and xbox one x, n64, wii and a wii u. amstrad cpc6128. Some I gave away to family, but them came back after a while, otherwise it would not be quite so bad.
Only the Xbox 360 which I had until I started gaming on PC!
Had a Mega Drive at one point, but no idea what happened to that…

Thanks for taking the time to make a reasonable suggestion.
I know some gaming consoles like the DS can be bought at a low price, the problem is that I don't like the games for it - never been into Mario, etc, plus I am not into those little handheld consoles.
Fortunately, the old NUC can play old game titles (like Medal of Honor, etc) surprisingly well, so all is not too bad - so at the moment I am reliving a past era. :-)
I have started looking for used parts to put together another setup, but it is taking time.
Plus medical problems and hospital visits are not helping either.
This is my conundrum, if I buy a console (Xbox or PS), I know they cost a lot less than a desktop, but it will take me that much longer to put together a nice replacement desktop so I can do other things as well (example - I did some photo and video editing on the side to earn a bit of extra dolly). I just cannot afford both - this is why I was drooling at some people being lucky enough to be in a position where they can. :-)
I know I am being picky, but unfortunately, we like what we like and since I have a very limited budget, I am not going to throw away money buying something I will not use much. :-)
