I can understand the Charge 2 not being waterproof but the Alta HR, the next step down, has no buttons and they can't even make that one waterproof.

I can't recommend FitBit at all. My partner has been through 4 and counting of these, due to various issues, such as the band coming away on a Charge HR, various sync issues and most recently widespread issues related to the app on android. The only thing they have done well is their customer service, usually getting a replacement out with little fuss.

Just remember to do the occasional reboot on these guys (while charging -> hold side button for 5-8 seconds).

Amazfit Bip - 30 days battery life, not showerproof and around £50. Think you should do a review of that one Hexus!

I'm already onto my third Charge 2, after buying the 1st one in March last year. Their warranty service is excellent but their robustness is something that requires massive development.
However, having said that, it's always good to know how many steps you're doing, even if they are inaccurate.

For £140 it should be waterproof imo. It's a bit of a shame, it would have made a good swimming watch for me.

very rare to find waterproof smartwatches or fitness bands believe it or not. Splashproof yes, full waterproof not so many

I had this quandary before Christmas, my wife is doing a Triathlon this year, and all of the fitness bands from the major players that are waterproof are the cheaper models, lacking features. It surprises me that they don't think people who are into fitness might want to swim.

We've both had MiFit 1s bands, which were adequate and waterproof for general use, but didn't really give the right information for a triathlon.
