The c702 has GPS????? I can't find it saying that on the sony ericsson site?
Sony Ericsson - Press Release OverviewThe C702 Cyber-shot™ integrates GPS and a range of location-based imaging services that really add a new dimension to taking and managing your photos. When you take a picture, information about where you are in the world is automatically added to the image. So you can always share your best moments with your friends and family according to where the shots were taken. Or you can simply sort the picture through your photo gallery on the PC or on the web.
If you are lost on your travels, Google™ Maps for Mobile locates and guides you to where you want to go, enabling you to roam free with confidence. Use GPS to pinpoint your location and then get turn-by-turn voice guidance to your destination. Find your way home or to one of up to 20 million points of interest.
XPERIA X1 looks pretty cool. Now a big fan of sliders and Windows Mobile since getting the Kaiser :)
I wonder if these will develop a following klike the Kaiser has. I'd be tempted back to SE for this, best of both worlds in my opinion.

Sony Ericsson - Press Release Overview
hmm, I guess they just haven't properly listed the specs on their main products page.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to use TomTom software on the phone instead of using google maps like they suggest.
C702 Cyber-shot uses the regular SE software, there isn't a version of TomTom for the non-smartphone OS's that I know of.
Although Google Maps Mobile doesn't do turn by turn directions, it is still incredibly useful, especially if you are able to follow a map. Also if you have a rough idea where you are going that helps too.
Two handsets that Sony Ericsson believe will take touchscreen mainstream are the G700 and G900. Think of these as mini-organisers if you will, they both come complete with calender, contacts and other keep-yourself-organised functionality.
 WOW
Does the C702 support wi-fi too? Would be nice to have both Wi-Fi and GPS, without going full fledged smartphone (nothing wrong with them except the hole it leave one's wallet).
