Sweet prize hexus :)

Much as I like AMD, a three slot card with three 8 pin power connectors is too much for my weak heart and PSU.

I hope that AMD gets back in the game with something a little less power hungry.

That's a seriously big card
Hasn't stopped me entering though - there is no way I will ever be able to buy cards in this price range

The extra power connectors are primarily for overclocking headroom, At stock speeds a Vega 56 consumes a similar 225W to the (slower) GTX 980ti and there are very few ATX PSUs it won't run on.

And in these days when the Nintendo Switch consumes 11W while running Skyrim arguing about PC power consumption is like arguing that a Lamborghini is no good because it uses more fuel than a ferrari. If you want something fuel efficient you don't buy a supercar in the first place.

That would have been a relevant comment in the days of the GTX 980 Ti. But given that the GeForce 1080 requires just one 8-pin connector to outrun the Vega 56, it's certainly nothing but a fanboy answer.

Seriously dude, this is a thread for a competition to win something for free, not to start listing the pros and cons of owning one. You don't have to enter.

Entered because I need a strong GPU. My Sapphire 380 is really beginning to fall behind here, and I was going to start saving for a 580, but seeing a Vega card made by Sapphire is what made me enter this. I'm full team red, too!
