will it work on a 350w PSU with only 1 6pin PCI-e connector? only one way to find out

Thanks for the competition. Now, if only I could convince lots of other people not to enter, to increase my chances, heh!

On a serious note, it's nice to have a chance to win, even if it's probably thirty-thousand or so to one.

With the 20% extra height and upwards pointing power connectors it wouldn't even fit in my case.

This card slurps over 320W on its own through its three 8pin PCIe plugs… and that's without OC

If I were to win this (yeah I know.. good joke), I couldn't even use it because I'd have to get a PSU in that is even remotely capable of feeding this power hog first
(and then rip out and redo my entire custom wiring loom…)

Still much better odds than the National Lottery! :P

Thanks again, Hexus. :hexlub:
I hereby pledge to put it to good use and fold proteins somewhat faster than with R9. I also pledge to upgrade PSU..

I've heard some good things about this card. I've always had Nvidia cards so would be nice to try something else for a change, and really see how it compares.

I certainly wouldn't mind this, my PSU handled 2 OC'ed 290xs so bring it on.

…. *None* of the given answers are necessarily 100% ‘correct’, if someone were being pedantic ;-)

No with 350w you need more like need at lease a 600/700 watt power supply and No it 3 x 8Pin

I guess I'll have to choose the Dark Power Pro 750W when I win this and the be quiet contest :)

that's what all these ‘so called paid shill review sites’ ;) :P tell you. don't believe everything on the internet.
until you actually try it yourself, how do you know? how do you actually know whether it will or wont? :D

thats why I'm going to try anyway, and hope the power saving mode works as it says. its only going to be on a 1680x1050 screen, wont need the extra horsies the OC setting has.

a if I win todays Silver edition vega aswell. I wonder if crossfire will work? I may have to out in my spare 400w PSU then instead.

Im happy AMD as stepped up its AIB game. Its nice to add a little flair in your case with a different cooler from reference, and often better performance.
