I guess Logitech's “Unifying” technology is dead then? Or is it a more “g4m0r”-like rebrand?

Other than that I like the idea of a wireless mechanical keyboard. I'd love Romer-G switches as well, if Logitech has managed to fix the “ringing” sound that occurs even when you barely touch the keys. I've had to send several G810 keyboards back before finally giving up.

1. using the logitech software can get you banned from online gameplay. the software if adjusted improperly. will register as a gamehack with punkbuster and a few other online cheat preventive software. 2. logitech is aware that many people have gotten banned do to this and have NOT told the companies about it. 3. metaban knows about this and so does punkbuster, but will not implement false positives prevention. this affects cs:go, and battlefield 3,4,hardlines, and 1. dont say i did not warn you.

If true (are there any reports on this from tech/gaming news sites?) that's a fairly major cock up for a “gamer” brand.

Lots of people on forums complaining about this… and lots of them finding the issues resolved, with said threads detailing resolution procedures by EvenBalance, GGC-Stream.net, FairFight, EA, etc.

1/. It's the same for other companies' peripheral software, most notably Razer.
2/. Logitech are aware, but it's not their problem. The issue is at the cheatpreventers' ends.
Various hack-prevention companies are also aware, as are game companies like EA and Dice, who have stepped in on the matter.
3/. Punkbuster have certainly implemented measures, such as removing the violation code from their servers, and continue to do so.

So yeah, this was a known (and resolved) issue back in 2013 and took me less than 5 minutes to Google up. Have you updated all your drivers, softwares and so on?
