I'd be tempted with a Note7R or whatever it's called as I don't fancy a fingerprint sensor on the back and I like the Home button

I think I read that it's mainly the eastern markets getting them and they will be at full price which is a bit of a pooper. I would like to upgrade the wifes Note3 at refurb prices but that doesn't look like it's going to happen QQ

Probably… but they will pop up if you're willing to pay

but im sure….. those markets will get them in bulk and put them on site that will sell them in the western markets… for slightly more but still stay cheap enough to be attractive for the west.

Phones like Xiaomi, are available in East while West can get them through proxy channel

I've posted on a different forum that I do not think that the phone will be known as Note 8.
2 reasons - Note has too bad a name and secondly Samsung released a tablet (my tablet actually) called Galaxy Note 8.0.
IMO would be too consumerfusing to have both a Note 8 and a Note 8.0
Having said all that, I don't care what it's called - my contract is just up and I was really looking forward to the Note 7 - but my eyesight will eventaually, really enjoy a 6.32" screen - time to do a deal with retentions and switch to a good sim only deal until Octoberish.

I think nowadays it applies to most phones and tablets. Drip fed improvements and “innovations” to do things “you could never do before”.
