I'm not fussy - I'll gladly win the AMD 460 rig or this - especially now my PC's hard drive seems to have developed a click and gone straight into system restore when booting twice in 2 weeks :-((

Wait a second, hold your horses. “Eligibility: UK” You mean the USA is out again? It's because of my new president isn't it? Not right Hexus ;)
Posted by Namor - Tue 24 Jan 2017 00:38
My wife would never believe me If I said “I won it”
Posted by ET3D - Tue 24 Jan 2017 06:45
Didn't notice that ‘Eligibility: UK’, but wasn't planning to enter anyway. It's too much for me. The RX 460 PC will do better.

royal mail can't even deliver a working motherboard with next day delivery, never mind a whole PC, the only other parcel company that is individual is fexEx and air mail would cost £55+

Floored that this isn't at least European eligibility. :(

Have taken a copy or clone of the hard disk in case is does stop working?

This is a well thought out, very capable PC.
It even looks fantastic.
By selecting either slightly lower than top of the range spec mixed with a couple of higher end componants (example - the COrsair MP500 M.2) has brought about a PC that would completely satisfy most gamers and other PC users.
The combination shown here is similar to how I would envisage a PC for myself.
A big hanks to Hexus and all their associates (Dino PC, Gigabyte, et cetera) and suppliers for the chance to win this PC.
Good luck to all, but especially me :-)

Thanks - I'll need to google the process, being a bit of a luddite compared to must guys on here :surprised:

It is a fairly simple process with most software, some are even free.
Some manufacturers also provide migration software for free with their products (example - Samsung's migration software is available with a new Samsung SSD).
Good idea to read up first - just like you said, and some backups are easy to check (example - if you do a clone on another drive, check it will boot OK).
Here is a link to a recent (2nd Feb 2017) review of 36x free backup software - https://www.lifewire.com/free-backup-software-tools-2617964
This also has links to specific reviews and where to download each product.
I have used Aomie (number 2 on the list) before with good success - very capable software. It is also able to do a variety of different backups, depending on your need at the time (examples - clone entire drive or you can set it to do regular schedualed backups of particular files and folders).
At the moment I am using a payed copy from Acronis.
