Thermal Enhanced Platform is developed in-house to offer something different to the norm.

As our resident power supply guru Tarinder would no doubt tell you, testing power supply units isn't always a great deal of fun. The majority of supplies are based on underlying platforms sourced from just a few ODMs, and though there's usually a sprinkling of customisation on top, PSUs from the big brands tend to be eerily familiar.

Cooler Master is hoping to break free with Thermal Enhanced Platform (TEP), a fully in-house design that has been in the works for some time and is due to arrive at retail in Q1 of next year. The first product based on the new platform is dubbed the XG750, a Gold-rated supply with dynamic RGB lighting that can be used to show load, fan speed or temperature in real time. Check out an overview of an early prototype in the video above.

RGB lighting to show what components are doing - meh. That'd just be trying to justify RGB and is so very 2012.

RGB graphical information display, however….. That's a solution for anyone (who doesn't use a G19 keyboard).
