It takes two to tango

Memory maker OCZ has appointed Dorset based distributor Spire Technology to offer its full range of memory, PSU and SSD products.

OCZ has been busy diversifying its product offering of late, with particular attention being paid to high-end SSDs. It's clearly keen to capitalise on all this innovation in the UK market.

At the same time Spire doing a fair bit of innovating of its own, positioning itself as one of the leading distributors of products based on NVIDIA's ION low power graphics platform, so the new partnership looks like a good fit.

"We are really excited to be working with OCZ because their product portfolio is terrific," said John Appleton, sales and marketing director at Spire. "OCZ has seen impressive worldwide sales growth despite the recession because they produce high performance components that improve reliability, efficiency and performance. This is precisely the type of product that Spire Technology wants to be associated with and are confident that the introduction of OCZ will complement our existing range perfectly."

"By teaming up with Spire Technology OCZ's complete spectrum of performance hardware will become more accessible to a greater breadth of customers within the region, and we look forward to strong partnership for many years to come," said Justin Shong, Senior VP of worldwide sales at OCZ.
