Buffalo to launch tiny 16GB USB flash drive

We've seen a few 128GB flash drives surface in recent weeks, but if physical size matters more than capacity, you'll like the look of this:

That's a 16GB version of Buffalo Technology's ultra-compact RUF2-PS flash drive. It'll be available in black, white and red, measures 18mm x 18mm x 8mm, and weighs around three grams.

No word on pricing, but these are expected to appear as soon as next week.

Are these the smallest USB sticks available? I was just recently looking at the Super Silm ones from SuperTalent.

Yes, these are alot smaller than the super talent ones, just look at the size of the connector ;)

I assume that all the chips are embedded in the plastic bit that sits in the middle of the USB connector. Otherwise I have no idea…
These are pretty tiny as well, are still 16GB and have very good access times

It's a bit longer than a SIM card and about as thick as a 1p coin
