Introduction

Ever fancied a notebook that's a little different from the rest? Are you the kind of person who doesn't like to toe the generic line by plumping for a Dell or HP?

If so, there are a number of smaller notebook retailers that purport to offer a bespoke service, with a choice of cool-looking chassis and an eclectic range of components.

One such vendor is Zepto Computers - a Danish-based outfit that currently sells its wares in 19 countries. Never heard of them? Neither had many of the HEXUS staff, but a little digging around shows that Zepto turned over £20m last year, with a track record of consistent growth in the last five years.

We take a look at a high-specification Nox A15 notebook, packed with Intel Centrino 2 and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT goodness. Worth a grand? Read on to find out.
