It's all here bar the dwarves...

Disney Interactive Studios has announced its lineup of games on display at the E3 2008, which looks like Disney is very much aiming for the whole family with titles across the major console and handheld platforms to appeal to every member of the family... from putting on a rock performance with Ultimate Band through to pulling off death-defying tricks in Pure.

The High School Musical franchise is still proving to be massively popular and during the 2007 holiday season, the company shipped more than 3.8 million copies of the widely popular High School Musical video games worldwide, achieving Top 20 positions on each published platform for the month of December 2007, according to NPD data. So it’s no surprise that this holiday season, Disney will deliver videogames that continue to support the High School Musical brand, as well as the new Disney Fairies and Disney Sing It franchises and of course there’s Bolt, a game inspired by the upcoming film.

But Disney are also keen to point out that they are developing original stuff too, aimed at tweens and families across multiple genres and platforms. Fall Line Studio, the company’s Nintendo Platform-dedicated entity, is developing Ultimate Band, a music performance game for Wii and DS. Black Rock Studio, formerly Climax Racing, is working on Pure for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. And lastly, we’ll also see the next installment in the anime-inspired Spectrobes franchise, Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals for DS.

On the next few pages we’ve got a brief summary of each of the key titles.
