Bond poster goes for minimalistic approach

I'm still getting accustomed to the title of the 22nd Jamed Bond film, Quantum of Solace. Though the name still doesn't do much to excite me, Moviefone has revealed a teaser poster to go with it. Sadly, the poster doesn't excite me much either.

Quantum of Solace teaser poster

I'd said the poster was minimalistic but that might be being a little kind, the poster could be called a little plain, or even boring. Following the loss of Bond's lady friend Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, Daniel Craig states that his character is still in a state of turmoil in this his second outing, perhaps explaining the modest title and poster accompanying the movie.

Having thoroughly enjoyed Casino Royale, my expectations are high for Quantum of Solace. Let's hope that Daniel Craig's first outing as 007 wasn't a one-off. Pierce Brosnan made a healthy intro with Goldeneye and went downhill from then on, I'm hopeful that Craig can continue to keep the British secret agent as entertaining as we come to expect.

Quantum of Solace is scheduled for a UK release on November 7th 2008.

By eck, he's got long legs…..

Silly name, (fairly) silly poster
Looks a bit like it was “inspired” *ahem* by the poster for Phantom Menace, where you see Annoyingkid Skywalker casting Darth Vader's shadow.
I dunno, though it doesn't give much away, I like it as an ad. Methinks they've seen the success of cloverfield and playing their cards close to their chest.
I still don't like the title. Mixing something like Solace, with a term often used in a fassion that dosen't have the same amounts of pratts as philosophy.

but i supose that flemming was been a tad bathos.
