Tyan’s S5375 and GT20 (B5375) Features the Next-Generation Xeon® Processor

SC07, Sparks, NV, November 12th, 2007 – Tyan Computer, a worldwide leading server solution provider, announces the launch of Intel® 5100 series chipset platforms and barebone solutions supporting the next generation Intel® Dual-Core & Quad-Core Xeon® processors. The latest Xeon® processor featuring a 45nm processor design will significantly increase the new platform’s energy efficiency and higher performance output. A broad array of 45nm processor supported Tyan platforms included the Tempest S5375 with the addition of Transport GT20 B5375 for complete barebone solutions.

The S5375, a server/workstation server platform, features eight DDR2 DIMM slots to optimize the memory bandwidth. Uniquely providing a larger memory bandwidth for an ATX form factor, but also offering DDR2 DIMMs support to lower the total cost of ownership. In addition, two (2) PCI-E x16 slots (one x16 + one x8 link) expansion slots and the x16 PCI-E slot can also be fully utilized for graphics cards and workstation applications offering flexibility for server and workstation needs.

“With the new 45nm Intel® Xeon® processor, a series of Tyan platform is edged with exceptional value designed for the blade server infrastructure,” said Scott Twomey, Director of Sales and Marketing. “Tyan’s newly launched platform is tying the power savings, energy efficiency, and performance all together into one seamless scalable server.”

All Tyan’s San Clemente platform based products will be in mass production phase Q4 of 2007.
