Speculation rife
Speculation has been rife today as to why exactly Stuart Scott, Corporate Vice President and CIO at Microsoft for two years has been removed from the company.
Speaking on behalf of Microsoft, a spokesperson said only that "Stuart Scott’s employment with Microsoft was terminated after an investigation for violation of company policies. In the interim, Microsoft General Manager Shahla Aly and Corporate Vice President Alain Crozier will assume Stuart’s responsibilities until a replacement is identified".
His biography page on microsoft.com states that he joined Microsoft in July 2005 after having previously held CIO roles at General Electric co. In 2003, he was recognised by CIO Magazine as one of the top 100 CIOs in 2003.
