Okay, so it's a slow news day, but I thought you might - kinda - be interested to learn that Eidos have secured the license to publish a game based on the hit TV soap, Eastenders.

Don't get too exited though, the game will be part of Eidos' SoGoPlay casual games range, which basically means that the game will be simplistic in design and probably only fun to play for a few minutes at a time. It's rumoured that the game might even take the form of a quiz.

Eidos announced their casual gaming brand back in May and are planning to release games that appeal to the mass market at an affordable price.

The only two titles we've seen thus far are the downloadable titles Fruit Fall and Mani Golf (currently available from the official site), but Eidos have said that they're also working on a number of DS, PS2 and Wii titles.

Just look at the fun you could be having :) Happy times await us...

Bet it's as good as the Little Britain video game that got some sub-40 score in PC Gamer :p
Wonder if you can have sordid little affairs etc…in it, play as Stacey Slater and see how many guys you can bonk.

Lol I bet that its gonna be worse than that!
It'll probably be rubbish and will almost definitely sell very few copies indeed.

If I could be bothered I would draw a Venn diagram of people who buy computer games against people who have a great interest in Eastenders. It would look like a bird's eye view of Grant Mitchell headbutting Phil Mitchell…
Hmm this game will be dire….

I am more intrested to know at the top of the article why does it say the following:
