Midway today announced that the demo for the action-packed and award-winning, 3rd person action adventure title, Stranglehold, is now available via Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Stranglehold, starring icon Chow Yun-Fat and the superb director John Woo, brings all of the action to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The full version of Stranglehold is currently expected to ship on August 27th for the Xbox 360 and PC, and September 17th for the PlayStation 3. PC and PlayStation 3 demos coming soon.

The Stranglehold demo will allow players to get a taste of the intense, non-stop action, cinematic gunplay and massively destructible environments that their itchy trigger fingers have been waiting for. A collaboration with John Woo's Tiger Hill Entertainment, Stranglehold allows players to experience the excitement of true next-gen action as you take on the role of Inspector Tequila created by John Woo for his influential action film, "Hard Boiled" starring Chow Yun-Fat.

Ensnared by a crime boss with a gripping secret, Inspector Tequila is forced to cross the line from sworn duty to bloody revenge. Engage your enemies with intense cinematic gun battles and cause massive environmental damage in real-time or revolutionary slow-motion Tequila Time.

Hmm so I've been waiting for the demo since Aug 1st (when the demo was announced.) I wake up quite early (12pm very early by my standards) turn on the 360 and stick the demo on to download.

All is going well, every now and then while I have breakfast I check to see the progress. Slowly it reaches 99%! I bounce around the room as the demo just reaches 100% annnnndddd it fails :surprised: I die a little…

Now my xbox live doesn't work and every time I go into the newly released section for demos i get the following “Can't retrieve information from Xbox Live. Please try again later”

All i can say now is  WHYY MEEE

So hows everyone else finding the demo?
I'm not, same problem as you, XBL Marketplace is down

EDIT: Working now
Ah yes it all works now :embarrassed:
Pretty meh TBH. Graphics aren't all that great and the gameplay isn't anything special really. Pretty fun though, but I could see it getting boring after not too long.
I kinda liked it. I didn't expect it to be groundbreaking but just fun and it delivers :D As for the graphics yeah they are pretty meh. Something about the lighting seems off and the textures seem pretty low res.
