4 games to choose from this week, including 3 from Sega!

There's no sign of slowing down for the retro titles on Wii's Virtual console, with the release this week of Streets of Rage 2, ToeJam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron and Kid Chameleon from SEGA's collection; and World Sports Competition, the TurboGrafX game that features the likes of archery, rowing and shooting.

The side scrolling beat 'em up Streets of Rage 2 was a top selling game back in 1993 and improved on the first in the series with expanded move lists, replacement of the original special attack and improved enemies. Street of Rage is available for 800 Wii points.

The skinny three-legged red alien is back in ToeJam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron. Toe Jam and Earl crash-land on Earth, their spaceship broken into ten pieces and they must search for the pieces and reassemble their spaceship in order to return home to the planet Funkotron. It's been said that if weren't for Sonic The Hedgehog, ToeJam and Earl could have become the platform's unofficial mascots. The game is now available for 800 Wii points.

Kid Chameleon spurned two series of comics based on the game. The sheer amount of variety in gameplay due to the various characters is part of what gave Kid Chameleon such an addicting quality; few levels repeated the same structure and they usually had specific strategies and characters to be beaten. In addition to the offensive abilities of each form, the Kid could also defeat enemies by jumping on them, although he may take damage from some enemies by doing so. The game is now available for 800 points.

Finally on the Virtual Console this week is the Olympic-themed World Sports Competition from HudsonSoft. The game has a Summer Olympics theme, and features several events, including archery, rowing, shooting, swimming, and track and field. Get ready to wear those fingers out! The game is now available for 600 Wii points.

About time I downloaded some more games! Downloading Toe Jam & Earl, although I thought this was the worst one out of the 3.
