Kick in the teeth for Europe?

Industry speculation suggests that the PS3 will not be launched this Spring. US analyst ,Evan Wilson said, “the PS3 will be released in summer 2006 in Japan, November 2006 in the US, and March 2007 in Europe, with a million units allocated to each territory.”

So will Europe get left till last again? Well don’t we always? If the analyst is correct, the gap between the Japanese and the European release dates is ludicrous. If the prediction is accurate, they’ll certainly be some unhappy gamers this summer. On a positive note, when we do get our hands on the console, it should be bug free and hammered to death by the Japanese - meaning we get a great console from the outset!

It would be wise to remember that Evan does not work for Sony. We’ll bring you the official word as soon as we know.
