Huawei, the global technology leader, has today announced a new partnership with Rugby World Cup Winner, fitness fanatic and Strictly Come Dancing alumni, Ben Cohen, to help keep the nation fit through a series of workout videos available for free on the Huawei YouTube channel, as well as live on Ben’s social media channels. Ben will be using the new Huawei Watch GT2e to track and monitor his sessions along the way, showing stats from the activity including calories burnt and heartrate.

From a fat burning HIIT class, cardio workout to a body conditioning session, which combines aerobics and resistance training for enhanced endurance, the first video will be live from today, followed by a further four videos that will be shared over the next few weeks.

Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, the workout videos have been designed to keep people connected and active whilst in and around the home and match with different modes available on the Huawei Watch GT2e.  Boasting an incredible two-week battery and ultra-sleek design, The Huawei Watch GT2e pushes the boundaries of what’s expected from a wareable. The watch is the perfect work-out companion and features 100 workout modes ranging from traditional sports to more unique forms of fitness such as skateboarding and parkour.

Making fitness tracking easy, the new smartwatch also supports precise heart rate monitoring, abnormal heart rate reminders, pressure level monitoring and sleep monitoring features that allow users to understand their health status in real time.

Ben previously partnered with Huawei as an ambassador for the StorySign app, which translates the written word into sign language, helping to open the beautiful world of books for deaf children across the globe. Used in conjunction with a smartphone and a physical book, Huawei’s StorySign translates a featured book into sign language page by page, delivering an unprecedented reading aid that takes advantage of modern AI technology.  Ben himself is clinically deaf and suffers with tinnitus.

The Huawei Watch GT2e is available now for RRP £159.99 from selected retailers. To find out more visit https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/wearables/watch-gt-2e/, whilst you can join Ben’s fitness sessions live on his Instagram and Facebook channels and on the Huawei YouTube channel.
