ATIR520 lands next week, but how much will it set you back if you want one at launch? We've got details on the pricing of R520 and its brethren across the X1xx range.

The top dog X1800 XT with 512MiB of memory will be priced at $549, with a 256MiB variant weighing in at $499, while the X1800 XL 256MiB will cost $449. A quick check of a popular US online retailer showed NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GTX selling around the $460 mark, with the 7800 GT costing ~$360.

Moving down into the X1600 range, the 256MiB XT will launch at $249, with a 128MiB version of the XT setting you back $199; the same price as a 256MiB X1600 Pro.

Of the X1300s, the most expensive X1300 Pro 256MiB will cost $149, while the cheapest X1300 Hypermemory 128MiB will weigh in at $79.

Add-in board partners will, of course, influence pricing depending on the bundles they decide to package with their products. However, we expect X1xx pricing will fairly rapidly adjust, squaring up to or sandwiching between NVIDIA's products.

Here's a full run-down of the prices we have:

X1800 XT 512MiB $549
X1800 XT 256MiB $499
X1800 XL 256MiB $449

X1600 XT 128MiB $199

What will be the specs on the X1600's?? Any clue as of yet?

/me hopes for > 8 pipelines in the midrange with 256 bit memory bandwidth
i am just waiting for the existing cards to drop in price, like the 6800 cards losing Ā£50 in a lot of cases almost overnight when the 7800 cards were released
Any word on quantities at this point? I would suspect if the top end models are in short supply then the price will remain near the RRP for longer. I'd be interested to see if ATI start offering Mobo + Graphics Card bundles too.

With ATi partnering up with TCMS i dont think there will be a short supply of any card. Plus i think that Sapphire might be the one that does the deal with mobo + gfx card. I dunno about you but i am just waiting to collect money to buy XT and Sapphire PURE Innovation PI-A9RX480 mobo should be very nice PC in the end, even nicer if i manage to snatch FX57.
I sence a disturbance in the force….I sence a lot of people screaming obsenities when they find they could have saved a fortune on their card by waiting a few days.
