We last cast our eyes upon the exciting melee action game For Honor back at Gamescom in August last year. At that time we got a glimpse of the varying roles available on the battlefield where bold knights, brutal Vikings, and mysterious samurai clash to claim territories. This weekend Ubisoft revealed what kind of PC system specs you should have to enjoy the game in its full glory.

For Honor has fairly high PC system requirements. You will notice that the minimum specs are for 720p@30fps gameplay at 'low' quality, which many a PC enthusiast won't be happy with. Recommended specs are 'where it's at' to enjoy 1080p@60fps with the high quality present. Have a pick through the respective specs lists below:

If you head over to the Ubisoft blog you will also find full lists of supported GPUs from both AMD and Nvidia for the upcoming game. You might also be interested to know that other than your trusty mouse and keyboard for control, you can alternatively wield an Xbox 360/One/One Elite/PS4 (original and pro) pad. With the correct drivers you could even make use of the Steam controller, OUYA Controller, and more.

Above you can see a new trailer for For Honor. The game will launch on PC, Xbox One and PS 4 on Valentine's Day. Before that you can sign up for closed beta access which will begin on 26th January.

Very modest specs IMO, providing it is well optimized on release then this should see good performance on many aging rigs. Makes a change considering the amount of awful console ports we seem to encounter these days.

Worryingly a lot of those are Ubisoft
New, from the company that single handedly trashed the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise: a mishmash of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and Bigpoint's Dark Orbit….

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Nvidia has published a blog post about For Honor on GeForce graphics cards.
