ASUS has showered Computex 2015 with new hardware releases. In this news we will be concentrating on the PC gaming orientated equipment under the ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand. The Taiwanese systems, devices and components maker has launched several gaming monitors, gaming laptops, a new gaming desktop and a mouse. It also launched a pair of new graphics cards designed to make the most of the newly announced Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti GPU.

Monitors

ASUS ROG is showcasing two G-SYNC monitors at Computex. The ROG 34-inch Curved G-SYNC Monitor is a 3800R (radius) display with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. When paired with a compatible Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics card users should enjoy gameplay without irksome screen tearing, display stutter and input lag. Connections are said to be extensive and include both DisplayPort and HDMI.

The ROG SWIFT PG 279Q is a 27-inch WQHD 2560x1440 display with IPS technology. Again it features G-SYNC to adapt its refresh rate up to an impressive 144Hz. Users have plenty of connectivity options including DisplayPort and HDMI.

Laptop and desktop PCs

ASUS ROG G751JT/JY laptops feature G-SYNC display technology to keep your gaming smooth on the move. These laptops feature powerful mobile hardware including Intel Core i7 processors and up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M "overclockable graphics". Keeping everything cool is a dual-fan and rear vent arrangement.

The ROG GL552 combines similarly powerful components with "an aggressive stealth fighter-inspired design," and LED backlit keyboard with WASD highlights. The ROG G501 aims to provide gaming chops in a thin and light chassis.

Another ASUS ROG 'console PC' style desktop is on show at Computex. The now familiar design contains components such as a 6th generation (Skylake) Intel Core processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics. The 12.5 litre chassis features PCI Express Gen 3 x4 SSDs, DDR4 SDRAM, and USB 3.1 for high speed data performance. Rounding off this showy little number are customisable 8-million colour light effects which can be configured to react to sound.

Graphics cards

ASUS ROG has announced the DirectCU H2O hybrid cooled ROG Poseidon GTX 980 Ti . This combines a vapour chamber and water channels for cooler and quieter performance. As usual ASUS uses aerospace-grade Super Alloy Power II components for this high-end card and on the software side of things you can make use of GPU Tweak II with XSplit Gamecaster.

The ASUS ROG Strix GTX 980 Ti has also been announced. This triple fan card is cooled via new DirectCU III technology and retains the Strix 0dB fan feature – so fans don't spin unless they have to.

Mouse

An MMO gaming mouse with a magnesium alloy body and 12 buttons called the ROG Spatha is on show at the ASUS ROG Computex booth. This mouse offers custom click resistance and 16.8 million colour lighting effects across three zones. It can be used in wired of wireless modes and is provided with a magnetic charging stand.

Waiting to see rest of the specs of that 21:9 34" g-sync screen.
Somehow, I wish it to be a VA technology, but will prolly be IPS.

On another note, 3800R instead of 3000R on all recent curved monitors. If I get this correctly, it means the curve is less pronounced on that ROG screen than the other screens. Will it be worth calling it curved?
“As usual ASUS uses aerospace-grade Super Alloy Power II components” LOL oh gotta love marketing.

Just about everything was developed from aerospace programs, this means nothing to older people, kids think its awesome. JMO
