Currys & PC World first offline retailer to sell Chromecast in the UK

Wednesday, 19th March 2014: Currys & PC World, the UK's leading electrical retailer, has today confirmed its stores will be the first* to sell Chromecast, a new device by Google that makes it easy to enjoy online video and music on any HD TV. The device will also be available for purchase online at: Currys.co.uk and PCWorld.co.uk.

Chromecast users will have access to a host of great content on YouTube, Google Play Movies, and Google Play Music, plus favourite local apps like Netflix. Chromecast is also device neutral meaning it works cross-platform between Android, iOS and Windows, casting content to any HD TV via tablets, laptops or smartphones.

Currys & PC World will be the only UK retailer to stock Chromecast both in-store and online. The device will retail for £30.

*Other UK retailers to stock in-store from the end of April.
