be quiet! coolers are often top performers - the Dark Rock Pro 2 being a prime example - however they have a tendency to be big and bulky. In response to the industry-wide transition to smaller, lighter solutions, the German manufacturer is unveiling its upcoming Shadow Rock Slim at Computex 2013.

Designed for smaller chassis and tighter confines, the Slim aims to offer top-notch performance in a more compact package. In order to make it happen, the cooler uses tightly-packed curved fins to aid airflow, a new mounting mechanism that promises higher pressure, and four 6mm heatpipes that are sourced from the same manufacturer who supplies Apple.

A slim 135mm SilentWings fan is included as part of the bundle, with the heatsink allowing for a second, optional, fan to be mounted on the opposite side. We're intrigued to see how much performance be quiet! has managed to eke out of this narrow design, but we willl have to wait a while until we see real-world numbers as the Shadow Rock Slim, priced at $39, won't be reaching stores until November 2013. In the meantime, here's be quiet!'s Aaron Licht with a hands-on overview:

That looks really good, seems like it could perform very well considering the price they suggest. Doubt I would recommend it over an Arctic Cooling tower though.
Pfff … This is a Coolermaster Hyper 212+ copy!
Nothing special
