SLI-certified AMD 990FX, 990X and 970 powered mainboards, and SLI-toting graphics cards, are in luck as NVIDIA has released its beta GeForce 275.50 drivers - allowing users to dabble in some SLI goodness.

NVIDIA tells us that 275.50 is identical to the WHQL 275.33 version, with the exception of the following enhancements:

  • Enables SLI technology on SLI-certified motherboards with AMD chipsets: 990FX, 990X, and 970.
  • Improves 3D Vision performance with Duke Nukem Forever with 3-way SLI and Quad SLI technology.

Continuing the 3D Vision perspective, here's what else is new:

  • Added the following 3D Vision game profiles:
    • Duke Nukem Forever Demo
    • Mars benchmark
    • Rise of the Immortals
    • Rusty Hearts
  • Updated the following 3D Vision game profiles
    • Alice Madness Returns - updated in-game convergence and rating is now Good

NVIDIA tells us that, as usual, this beta release supports all GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500-series desktop GPUs, as well as ION desktop GPUs, and can be downloaded from here.
