NVIDIA may be working on a revised version of its GTX 590 graphics card, in a bid to make it more resilient to overclocking.
Reports claim that the spruced up GTX 590 will feature new inductors - and require a re-worked baseplate to accommodate this change. Apparently third-party cooling solutions, including liquid cooling blocks, will also have to head back to the drawing board for the same reason.
The overclocking-friendly GTX 590, is said to hit retail in June.
UPDATE: NVIDIA has contacted us to provide a statement clarifying the matter at hand: "NVIDIA regularly adds alternate source components to products as part of normal supply chain management, but there is no new GeForce GTX 590 board design as rumored. All GeForce GTX 590 graphics cards run great as originally designed."
