London, 13 February, 2011 – T-Mobile UK today announced it will be ranging three new handsets from Sony Ericsson; the XperiaTM PLAY, XperiaTM Arc and XperiaTM Neo. The latest handsets will be available in stores, online and via telesales.

The Sony Ericsson XperiaTM PLAY will be available on T-Mobile from April. Perfect for gamers, the handset is certified by PlayStation® and features a slide out game controller with the well-known Sony PSP layout. With the ultimate gaming experience in mind, the handset comes with a best in class 4” screen and superfast chipset, to give users the same feel as a portable games console with their mobile phone.

The Sony Ericsson XperiaTM PLAY runs on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread software, giving users faster internet browsing and a more efficient way to manage their apps. The phone comes with a front-facing camera, so users can take a break from gaming, snap away, and instantly upload their pictures to social networking sites.
Next up is the Sony Ericsson XperiaTM Arc – is Sony Ericsson’s latest, super-slim handset. Combining Sony Ericsson’s state of the art technology with a beautiful appearance, the lightweight handset is just 8.7mm wide at its thinnest part, and has been ergonomically designed to fit perfectly within the user’s hand.

Ideal for multimedia users, the Sony Ericsson XperiaTM Arc runs on Android 2.3 technology, and comes with an extra wide 4.2” multi-touch screen and in-built Mobile BRAVIA® Engine to give users the ultimate entertainment experience. The handset also boasts an 8.1 mega pixel camera, with Sony’s award-winning Exmor R™ for mobile sensor, enabling the capture of high quality, bright pictures and HD videos even in low light.

Last but not least, the Sony Ericsson XperiaTM Neo has been built with the photographer in mind. Like the Arc, it comes with an 8.1 mega pixel camera and HD video facility, for taking memorable photos and video clips whilst on the go. The handset also comes pre-loaded with Sony Exmor RTM best in class imaging, so users can capture digital camera-quality pictures in any setting with its f/2.4 lens, and share them with friends via MMS or upload directly to social networking sites. Available from T-Mobile from April onwards, the phone is an affordable option for those looking for a smartphone with Android 2.3 technology.

Nicola Shenton, Head of Device Portfolio at Everything Everywhere, comments: “These three smartphones are perfect for anyone who wants to take their entertainment with them, and we expect them to be a popular choice for T-Mobile customers following the success of the Sony Ericsson X8 and X10 last year.”
