PRESS RELEASE

Today, Three is pleased to announce that it will be the UK’s exclusive tariff partner for the new Honor 6+ handset. Three is one of the first networks to bring a rising Asian e-commerce challenger brand to the UK.

Honor has previously worked on a purely e-commerce model and its partnership with Three is aiming to broaden its brand recognition and reach, bringing the Honor name to a whole new consumer audience both on and offline.

The Honor 6+ is the first device that Three will range and it will create bespoke tariffs for the smartphone, enabling consumers to purchase it on a 24 month contract for the first time in the UK.

The partnership will also mean that Honor’s existing fan base will be able to visit select Three stores across the country to experience the phone prior to purchasing which has never previously been possible. It will also extend Honor’s ability to drive demand offline by demonstrating its superior look, feel and feature capabilities in-store alongside its renowned affordable price.

The Honor 6+ features a 5.5 inch high definition 1080x1920 IPS-Neo screen that will display a high quality image, no matter what angle you look at it. It also boasts a 1.8GHz octo-core processor plus 3GB RAM meaning you have extended battery life and the ability to keep multiple applications and tasks running at the same time, especially useful for gaming and watching videos.

It has an 8MP front facing camera combined with a dual-lens 13MP camera on the back, alongside a built-in aperture lens for greater photo precision and creative effects. Plus with the 32GB of internal storage you can capture those special moments without worrying about capacity.

Sylvia Chind, head of devices and products at Three, said: “We are delighted to be bringing such an innovative and exciting brand to the UK market. The Honor 6+ has already built a strong fan base and it’s a smartphone that can seriously compete with some of the higher end devices out there, minus the hefty price tag.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer our customers this premium and stylish handset on our reliable network so they can truly benefit from all its great features and we are looking forward to supporting its success in the UK.”

Lars Weisswange, chief engagement & communications officer at Honor Europe, said: “This partnership with Three UK demonstrates that Honor has quickly achieved a strong foot hold in the UK within the first four months of launching as a new brand. Three UK and Honor are both brave and innovative brands, which will encourage great synergy and continue to provide fans with high quality and great value devices.”

Three customers can enjoy the new Honor 6+ with the added benefits of the Three network such as 4G at no extra cost in 4G enabled areas, and Feel at Home in 16 destinations worldwide that includes the USA, France, Italy and Spain, from April 1.
