LONDON, UK. — 10 Nov, 2017 — Logitech, today announced the launch of the Harmony Smart Home skill for Amazon Alexa.

With Amazon's introduction of entertainment control capabilities now in the UK, Logitech Harmony is excited to release simplified voice commands for your entertainment devices. When using any Logitech Harmony hub-based remote with an Amazon Echo, Echo Plus, Echo Dot, and other connected Amazon devices, and their voice.

The skill allows you to speak more naturally when giving a command through Alexa to Harmony, for example:

  • Turning your TV on and off – “Alexa, turn on the TV”
  • Controlling the volume and playing/pausing your content – “Alexa, turn the volume up/down”
  • Use your voice to jump to your favourite TV station – “Alexa, change to channel 103”

Starting today, Logitech Harmony owners can enable the new Harmony skill with the accompanying blue logo in the Amazon Alexa app store.
