Introduction

A-DATA "my Flash" USB Fingerprint Disk 512MB

USB data-storage drives, the ever-so-useful flash-based media that plug directly into any computer's USB ports, are wonderful tools for moving and sharing information on the go. Increases in memory density has seen capacities shoot up to 8GB, with more-reasonable 1GB drives available for <Ā£20.

With respect to security, USB's ease of use can also be thought of as a weakness. For most drives, it's a case of plugging in and copying contents over, some of which may be of a sensitive nature.

With this in mind, A-DATA Technology has recently launched a line of USB drives that provide much-needed security access via inbuilt fingerprint recognition.

Let's take a closer look at the 512MB version of A-DATA's "my Flash" USB fingerprint disk drive, shall we.
