Here is the first outing of the 7th Generation Core processor. Running at up to 3.5GHz, single-threaded performance is just where we would expect it to be, that is, a shader quicker than an equivalent-clocked 6th Generation processor.

The Dell XPS 15 is an outlier as it uses a quad-core, hyperthreaded processor. All others have dual cores and four threads. Appreciating that the PC Specialist Lafite II uses the chip inside the early-2016 Blade Stealth, we observe a 10 per cent bump in all-core performance.

The Razer machine is about as good as it gets for a super-slim ultrabook featuring a 15W chip.
