Test Setup

The test setups are outlined in detail below but for those that aren't concerned about the finer points, the XP2200+ is run on a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP which uses the VIA KT333 chipset and DDR333 memory and the 2.4B (overclocked 1.8A to 133MHz FSB) is run on an MSI 645E Max2 LRU which uses an SiS 645DX chipset and DDR333 memory. The same MSI Ti4400 GeForce4 is used on each platform and the rest of the base platform is identical across both setups.
