It's big and black...

The TJ-09 actually comes in four flavours, our review sample being the SST-TJ09-B, a black non-windowed variant. The SST-TJ09-S is the silver model, with two further models being defined with a ‘–W’ on the end of the product code to indicate pre-fitted windows.

The TJ-09 is not small by any means, with dimensions of 525mm (H) x 210mm (W) x 605mm (D); its saving grace being its weight, tipping the scales at a very respectable 11kg.

The front of the TJ-09 is built from pure aluminium, 5mm thick at that. With a simple stretched oval logo down the bottom and clean lines all the way up, the TJ-09 certainly looks the business

Initial pricing for the TJ-09 is a smidge over £200, and that’s from one of the most respected retailers in the U.K. market, so let’s face facts, it isn’t cheap, but is it worth it?

Featuring four externally accessible 5.25” bays along with a solitary 3.5” bay it’s fairly standard in that regard. The finish, on the other hand, is anything but standard.

The slab of black up front is broken up by the aforementioned stretched oval SilverStone logo down the bottom, along with the beautifully finished power and reset buttons in the middle.

By now some of you may have seen the first pictures of the chassis and thought ‘sheesh £200+ for a chassis and they missed a bit on the side!’ but the truth is, this is the TJ-09’s secret weapon.
