Performance

The inclusion of dual 200mm fans is a key selling point, yet don't expect miracles. The MasterCase H500P has no problem in cooling our overclocked Core i5-3570K processor, however cheaper cases do equally as well, if not better.

It's a similar story on the GPU front. Taming our dual GTX 970 graphics cards isn't easy, but the MasterCase H500P manages to keep beneath the 80ºC target. What's interesting is that the MasterCase Maker 5T employs a similar internal layout but uses two 140mm fans to deliver slightly lower GPU temperatures. Bigger isn't necessarily better.

Middle-of-the-pack performance is confirmed by the noise readings. MasterCase H500P's large fans are able to spin slow and quiet, keeping noise levels down when idle, but there's little in the way of soundproofing and the increase in noise is noticeable when gaming.
