Lenovo wrote to HEXUS today with the details of a double Windows 10 PC launch. While both devices are members of the well regarded YOGA range they couldn't be much more different. The Lenovo YOGA 900 is claimed to be the "world's thinnest Intel Core i convertible laptop". Lenovo's other YOGA device launched today is the Lenovo YOGA Home 900 portable All-in-One desktop, which as you can see from the pictures functions as either a good-sized AiO or as a huge tablet – with its 27-inch screen.

Lenovo YOGA 900

This new YOGA convertible laptop features processors up to and including Intel's latest 6th gen Core i7. Up to 16GB of RAM can be installed and you can choose various capacities of Samsung SSD when ordering. The slim and light (14.9 mm and 1.29 kg) YOGA 900 sports an improved cooling system which Lenovo says is 30 per cent better than its predecessor, helping it to stay cooler and quieter.

Users will enjoy the touch enabled 13.3-inch QHD+ (3200x1800) IPS Display and its wide viewing angles. The keyboard offers LED backlighting. To complete the multimedia sensory delights on offer the YOGA 900 offers JBL stereo speakers and Dolby Audio Premium. Lenovo boats this flexible laptop can provide up to nine hours of local video playback.

As usual with a YOGA you can enjoy various modes of operation thanks to the flexibility of the watchband hinge. Windows 10 plays its part by cleverly switching to appropriate UI modes thanks to Continuum.

Pricing for the Lenovo YOGA 900 starts at €1,299. It comes in a variety of colours; clementine orange (as pictured), platinum silver and champagne gold. It will be available on www.lenovo.com in the second half of October.

Lenovo YOGA Home 900

The second Windows 10 device launched by Lenovo today is a 27-inch All-in-One PC which offers a traditional PC desktop experience and a 'table PC' or extremely large tablet experience. For portability you have up to three hours of battery life.

Key hardware specifications of the Lenovo YOGA Home 900 are; up to an Intel 5th Gen Core i7 processor, and an optional NVIDIA GeForce 940A graphics to propel pixels on the 27-inch Full HD screen.

Lenovo says that if you lay the YOGA Home 900 flat and launch the AURA 3.0 interface users can enjoy easily access photos, videos and hundreds of new entertainment, productivity and education apps through the new curated AURA Store (now linked to the Windows Store). AURA is designed for people to work and play together.

Pricing for the Lenovo YOGA Home 900 starts at €1,499 and it will be available on www.lenovo.com from December.

The Yoga Home 900 reminds me of my misspent youth playing Pacman in the pub. I wonder how resistant it is to spilled beer.
A 27" tablet and 1920x1080 resolution….they could have at least used a 1440p panel! That's seriously low DPI for a device expected to be used up close (81.6 dpi according to my math)

It was a failed product as soon as they made that decision, 1920x1080 is bad enough at 24“ nevermind 27” - anyone who buys it is going to find it seriously lacking compared to any other tablet on the market.
