If you're thinking that the process of migrating your system to SSD storage could be as potentially exciting as watching paint dry, Samsung is calling upon Norton Ghost 15, to deliver the convenience of SSDs - without that added element of frustration.
The manufacturer's SSD Upgrade Kit - available this month - will tie together Symantec's Norton Ghost 15, with a Samsung SSD 470 series drive, connection cables and adjustable mounting brackets. The drive itself, launched in Korea earlier this year, apparently sold 10,000 units within two months and offers maximum sequential read/write speeds of up to 250MB/s and 220MB/s, respectively.
Samsung believes that the inclusion of Norton Ghost 15 means that you could be migrated to your new SSD in under an hour - apparently representing a reduction of up to 75 per cent, in the amount of time it can usually take.
