Remember the Silent Pro power supplies introduced by Cooler Master back in June 2008? Well, the Taiwanese manufacturer is today expanding that range with new 850W and 1000W models that promise to provide up to 66A and 80A, respectively on a single 12V rail.

The Silent Pro M850 and Silent Pro M1000 (pictured above), make use of Cooler Master's patented "silent formula" - consisting of a "highly efficient circuit design", a set of "copper plates that conduct heat almost twice as well as traditional aluminium" and a bundle of flat modular cabling.

Put it all together with a big 135mm fan and Cooler Master reckons you'll get a high-power unit that generates less heat whilst operating at minimal noise levels. Both 850W and 1000W models are 80 PLUS Bronze certified, and both are backed with Cooler Master's five-year warranty. No word on pricing or availability yet, though.

Love that.. I am curious to how silent these really are. Are they Zalman ZM-850/1000 silent or claim to be silent but actually can be heard even on low demand.
