AOC AGON AG271UG 27-inch premium gaming monitor

Monitor maker AOC has launched what it calls its "first 4K premium gaming monitor". The AOC AGON AG271UG uses a 27-inch IPS panel and among its many qualities features Nvidia G-Sync technology. AOC says that it's (soon to become available in the UK) gaming monitor "brings the latest games to life in highly detailed UHD graphics and accurate colours." Furthermore, with a suitable Nvidia GPU, the built-in G-Sync module facilitates minimal screen tearing, display stuttering and input lag.

"Our new AGON 4K monitor offers the latest panel technology to hardcore gamers who want the best possible picture quality, combined with NVIDIA’s trustworthy G-SYNC technology for a flawless synchronization with their graphic cards, even on the most demanding and graphic-intensive games," said Alfonso Clemente, Product Manager at AOC Europe.

Gamers also benefit from the image clarity enhancing AOC Shadow Control adjustments, available from the OSD menu.

In an email to HEXUS, AOC said that the AGON AG271UG will become available in the UK next month priced at £699.

What's the pokey bit on the side for? Headphone rack?
Why HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.2?
The Freesync AOC AGON AG322QCX 32“ model i would say it a better option.

Yes its 1440p panel but you get a VA panel 31.5” monitor with 4ms and 144hz at £519 vs Gsync £699 for 27" 4K but only 60hz and 4ms

Out of the 2 the Freesync version seems much better as a user experience and £180 cheaper?

Nvidia GPUs don't speak Freesync, and AMD GPUs don't speak G-Sync (I think).

G-Sync & Freesync are just different enough to be incompatible.
